Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Lasso app for macOS and of the lassoanything.com website, both provided by Graviro (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

The app

Lasso is a macOS utility that recognizes content you select on your screen and suggests actions for it, such as creating an event, copying a table, converting a currency, or opening a link. You may use Lasso for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and all applicable laws.

Download and license

Lasso is distributed for free through the Apple App Store. Your download is also subject to Apple’s applicable media-services terms and App Store policies. Unless a custom license agreement is displayed for Lasso, use of the app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Nothing in these Terms replaces rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Your content

You keep all rights to what you select, capture, and create with Lasso. You are responsible for having the rights to capture, process, and share that content, and for respecting the privacy of other people whose information appears on your screen.

Lasso processes your selections on your Mac. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we receive it only when you choose to send it to us, for example with feedback. How the app and the website handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Results you should check

Lasso uses text recognition, pattern detection, and on-device language models, which can make mistakes. Before relying on a result, check it, in particular:

• dates, times, and time zones before you add an event or reminder;
• converted amounts, which use reference rates that may differ from the rate your bank or card issuer applies;
• translations, summaries, and error explanations;
• redactions, before you share an image that should hide sensitive information;
• extracted receipt figures, contact details, and tracking numbers.

Lasso is a productivity tool. It is not a source of financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice.

Other services

Some actions open or use services we don’t operate, such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, carrier tracking pages, search engines, the exchange-rate service, and iCloud. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability or content. iCloud sync requires an Apple Account and is subject to Apple’s iCloud terms.

Custom parsers

Custom Parser Packs you create or import contain matching rules and templates, not executable code. You are responsible for the packs you import or share, including any HTTPS address they open.

Availability and compatibility

We aim to keep Lasso reliable and compatible with supported macOS versions, but we don’t guarantee that every selection will be recognized or that every action will be available. Some features depend on macOS, Apple Intelligence, your language settings, or an internet connection. We may change, add, or remove features.

Prohibited use

You may not:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of Lasso except where applicable law permits it;
• use Lasso or the website in violation of applicable law or another person’s rights, including to collect other people’s personal information without a lawful basis; or
• interfere with the app, the website, their distribution, or their security features.

Disclaimer

Lasso and the website are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graviro will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunity arising from your use of Lasso or the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continued use of Lasso or the website after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Santa Catarina, Brazil, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

Languages

These Terms are available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. If the versions differ, the English version prevails, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
